Do you know trusts and bequests?
Printer-friendly version
For the future of St. Francis Church, it is important for a few members to develop some expertise in planned giving, trusts and bequests. These vehicles for giving to a church with tax advantage and sometimes life income provide one of the best ways a congregation can begin to establish some endowment for the future care of its building. Perhaps you already have this knowledge, or have the sort of background in finance that would help you learn what is needed to teach others in the church. We hold our buildings and land in trust for those who will come after us – including some of our own children and grandchildren- and for our diocese, and it matters that we invest our love and our resources in these fellow Christians, as well as providing a hospitable site for our own worship, community service, and mission. If you might be willing to help with this or other aspects of church finances, please speak to Rev. Jennifer or the wardens Paul Isaacson and Ed Lovato. |
