Mark your calendars!

Shrove Tuesday—Join us for our annual pancake supper on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 5:30pm. The cost is $5 per person, not to exceed $15 per family. Tickets on sale soon.

Ash Wednesday—We begin the Lenten season with our Ash Wednesday service, Feb. 17 at 7 pm.

Lenten Series—Our five-week Lenten series on the Seven Last Words of Christ will begin on February 24 at 6:00pm. Each Wednesday evening will begin with a light supper and will conclude with Compline at 7:45.

From the Vestry

At the meeting on January 20, the Vestry considered many issues, including a budget for the coming year. Our budget committee will be working on this in the next few weeks. Their work will be easier if all members can complete and submit their pledges. We hope to hold our annual parish meeting, when we elect members to the vestry and a convocation delegate, on February 21. Please feel free to contact members of the Vestry with your questions and suggestions:

Let Them Eat Pancakes!

We are looking forward to the annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper on Tuesday, February 16, 5:30—7:00 p.m. The Brotherhood of St. Andrew will help us celebrate Mardi Gras by providing a delicious meal of pancakes, sausage, apple sauce, and ice cream for all. The cost for this magnificent feast is $5 per person or $15 for a family. Funds generated will go to the various projects supported by the Brotherhood. Tickets will be available at church on Feb. 7 & 14, as well as at the door. See you there! USHERS NEEDED! Anyone interested in ushering? We need ushers particularly at the 8am service. Lenten Sketches

The Music Department is presenting “The Lenten Sketches” on Good Friday, Apr. 2 at 7 pm. This is a moving musical offering that will truly enhance your Lenten and Holy Week experience. As wonderful as our Adult Choir is, additional singers are needed. Rehearsals begin on Thursday, Feb. 18 at 7:45pm. We look forward to meeting those who would like to share their gifts with us.

Visit of Bishop Frey

The Assisting Bishop of our diocese, the Rt. Rev. William Frey, will visit St. Francis on Sunday, March 14. If you or a family member would like to be confirmed in the Episcopal Church, or would like to be received into the Episcopal Church, please contact our deacon, Rev. Ruth Morgan, as soon as possible at the church office, 896-1999. We look forward to a festive and inspirational visit from our bishop.
